Getting Started

What is web hosting, how does it work, and how do I get started?

If information is a highway, then your web site is a lettered van that drives on it, just like the vans and such you seeing driving on the roads every day.

The process is made up of three parts, or "steps":

  1. Domain Name Registration.   Think it as DMV for the internet.  The registrars are where you pay the annual fees for your dot com name.  The fees vary in price.  We use http://000domains.com and they are $14 per year. (click here to do this)

  2. Web Site Hosting.  One you have your dot com name, you need somewhere to put it.  Like a parking garage for your van.  That is where we come in.  We offer this service with a variety of options based on your needs.  Packages start at only $7.95 per month. 3. Web Site Design.  These are the guys that do the cool paint job and lettering on your van. There is an endless list of people that do this, or you can do this yourself.  We can also build your initial site, then hand it over to you to finish and maintain.  We can offer as much, or as little help as you need.
